Buildings, including our homes, account for 18% of Canada’s greenhouse gas emissions. The federal government has therefore launched the Canada Greener Homes Grant initiative. It will help homeowners get up to $5,000 to make energy-efficient retrofits to their homes and up to $600 to receive EnerGuide evaluations and expert advice.
Rebates are available for window and door units that meet the Greener Homes program criteria and the eligible products must be purchased from a Canadian ENERGY STAR® participant—such as Bourassa Doors! Through this initiative, the government wants to recognize innovation and advancements made by manufacturers as they improve technology performance for new models.
